A new-construction project generates debris in phases, and a single container rarely covers the whole job. Here's how we usually size and schedule it.

Framing phase

Framing scrap and packaging material is bulky but relatively light. A 30 yard is the common pick here, since volume fills up faster than weight.

Rough-in and drywall phase

Drywall, insulation and mixed trade debris are heavier and denser than framing scrap. This is often where a swap-out becomes worth scheduling — a fresh container as the full one leaves, so the crew never loses a work day waiting on a truck.

Finish phase

Flooring, cabinetry packaging, and finish-trade debris round out the project. A smaller container often suffices here compared to the framing and rough-in phases.
