On your own driveway or private property, no permit is required anywhere we deliver. If a container needs to sit on a public street instead, each jurisdiction handles that within its own limits — City of Alexandria, VA for addresses inside Alexandria's own city limits. Virginia's local-government structure genuinely varies across our service area, and we never flatten it into one shape: Alexandria itself, along with Falls Church and Fairfax, is an independent city under Virginia law — a complete, separate municipal government with no county sitting above it at all, so there is no "Alexandria County," "Falls Church County" or "Fairfax County" containing these cities. Arlington is a genuinely unusual shape of its own: a full county government with zero incorporated towns anywhere inside it, so "Arlington, VA" IS Arlington County, governed directly by its County Board. The remaining seven locations we serve — Mount Vernon, Belle Haven, Groveton, Huntington, Franconia, Kingstowne and Springfield — are unincorporated Fairfax County communities with no city or town government of their own, governed directly by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Northern Virginia's climate genuinely changes the calculus here. The region sits in the Mid-Atlantic's real storm corridor — summer thunderstorms and the occasional derecho, a landfalling tropical system's remnants, and coastal nor'easters in the fall and winter — and any of those are a routine, practical scheduling factor across our whole service area. Any of those can occasionally push a delivery back half a day, and a bad nor'easter can make a driveway hazardous — tell us if your project is time-sensitive around a forecast and we'll work the schedule around it.
