JJ Dumpster Rental Alexandria owns and operates our own trucks and roll-off containers out of our yard at 1270 Mission Lane, Alexandria, VA 22304, serving Alexandria, Virginia and the rest of Northern Virginia. We do not connect customers with third-party haulers or independent providers. Every container you rent from us is delivered, serviced, collected and disposed of by our own team.

How local government actually works around Alexandria

Alexandria is an independent city under Virginia law — a complete, separate municipal government with no county sitting above it at all. There is no "Alexandria County," and this site never uses that phrase. Virginia's local-government structure genuinely varies across the 10 communities we serve — Arlington, Falls Church, Fairfax, Mount Vernon, Belle Haven, Groveton, Huntington, Franconia, Kingstowne and Springfield — and we disclose each one honestly rather than flattening them into a single shape: Falls Church and Fairfax are also independent cities, each with its own complete municipal government and no county above it. Arlington is a genuinely unusual shape of its own — a full county government with zero incorporated towns anywhere inside it, so "Arlington, VA" IS Arlington County, governed directly by its County Board. The remaining seven locations — Mount Vernon, Belle Haven, Groveton, Huntington, Franconia, Kingstowne and Springfield — are unincorporated Fairfax County communities with no city or town government of their own, governed directly by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Regulations change

Permit requirements, right-of-way rules, disposal fees, recycling programs and weather-related road restrictions are set by each city, county or state government, not by us, and they change without notice. Anything we say about them is our general understanding at the time of writing. Always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant authority before you rely on it:

Container dimensions, capacities, weight allowances, project sizing guidance and any prices or price ranges shown on this site are approximate, general to the industry, and provided to help you describe your job when you call. Actual debris weights vary enormously with moisture, material and age — storm-soaked roofing debris and waterlogged material in particular. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding quotation. A rate is only binding once it is confirmed directly with you by our team.

Permit and placement responsibility

Unless we specifically agree in writing to secure a permit on your behalf, responsibility for any required placement permit — and for confirming whether one is needed for your address — rests with you, the customer. On private property, no permit is generally required anywhere we deliver; placement on a public street is where a permit most often applies, and which office to contact depends on the specific jurisdiction involved — see the list above.

Mid-Atlantic severe weather

Northern Virginia sits in a genuine Mid-Atlantic storm corridor — summer thunderstorms and the occasional derecho, a landfalling tropical system's remnants, and coastal nor'easters in the fall and winter — and that is a genuine, current factor in scheduling here. We will delay or reschedule a delivery, service or pickup ahead of unsafe road or storm conditions where we judge it necessary, and we are not liable for delay caused by severe weather or its aftermath (see our Terms & Conditions, force majeure).

Not engineering or safety advice

Guidance on driveway loading, demolition, roof work, mold, asbestos and hazardous materials is general in nature. Structural, environmental and safety questions should be referred to a qualified professional — a structural engineer, a licensed abatement contractor, or your local building department as appropriate.
